Saipan beach (Mike és pepe munkája) / Saipan beach (Mike & Pepe's work)

Ez a legutóbbi munkánk Mike-al közösen.

Our latest work with Mike.

The vehicle is a M4A2 sunk at Saipan beach. The first photo I saw on the internet, I decide to do that anyway. Sadly in 1/72nd scale not much detail can be seen. In 1/48th scale I neither can find a suitable M4A2, nor the engine and figures, so I sticked with the 1/35th scale.

The corall is made of 2 different NOCH products, and some iron-filings is glued with PVA glue. On the top of the body, I used only iron-filings, this way I made the surface diverse. The turret and the gun was "rotten" by plastic filler.

After the acrylic priming, I used several layers of oils, varied with some pigments.

A víz áttetsző gyanta, melyet festékkel szineztem.

The water cast with a transparent resin, that I colored with paints.

A figurákat Mike barátom faragta és festette.

The figures were painted and sculpted by Mike.

A képeket a dioráma oldalán Rácz Robi barátunk készítette.

The film strip on the side of the diorama was made by our friend Robi Rácz.

  2. Absolutely beautiful model. Would you mind telling me how you made the water for it? I'm helping my 8 yr old son with a food chain model for school and he wants to do the ocean. I want to use "artifical water" or "fake water" to put the different fish and plants in for a real 3-D piece. Did you pour it all at once? What did you use to make the mold? Thanks for any help you care to give.
